Before Your First Use
Hand wash knives thoroughly in hot water using a mild dish soap. Rinse in clean, hot water and dry immediately.
High-quality carbon stainless steel resists stains, rust, and corrosion better than most other metals, however all metals will react to extreme conditions. To preserve your cutlery set, please keep the following precautions in mind:
Do not allow food with high chloride content (i.e. table salt, mustard, mayonnaise, and egg) to remain on the blades after use. This can cause discoloration or pitting. Do not soak culinary knives in water for a long period of time, even if it is heavily soiled. The chlorine and mineral content of your water, especially iron, can cause corrosion. In fact, the make-up of your local water can be the sole cause of corrosion and discoloration.
Always use an appropriate cutting surface with your tactical culinary knives. We recommend using a wooden or polyethylene cutting board. Do not use hard surfaces such as glass, marble, ceramic, or metal as this will damage the blade.
Always store your culinary knives in the included storage sheath when not in use. This not only prevents injury but preserves the blades.
DFACKTO recommends regular maintenance and upkeep on your cutlery. With regular use any knife will lose its sharpness. Sharpening on a periodic basis will renew the cutting edge, maximizing the knife’s performance. For best results, manually sharpen your culinary knives with a whetstone or have them professionally sharpened by a skilled knife-smith with a multi-stage electric sharpener. You may also use a sharpening steel between uses.
As with all fine culinary sets, your DFACKTO knives and handles should be hand-washed to preserve the overall finish of the blade and handle. To clean, carefully wipe with a wet cloth and a mild dish wash soap. Rinse your knives in clean water and dry immediately.
DFACKTO knife handles are impervious to water but we still recommend that you do not put your culinary tools in the dishwasher. The harsh chemicals and abrasive additives found in dishwashing detergent have a corrosive and damaging effect on the knives. Additionally, the agitation of the cutlery against other items in the dishwasher can damage your blade edge.
Always make sure the tactical culinary knife blade is entirely clean and dry before storing.
Should staining occur, we recommend the use of stainless-steel cleaners such as: Bon Ami®, Cameo® or Barkeeper’s Friend®.
Warnings and Safeguards
Your DFACKTO knife is NOT intended to cut frozen food. In addition, do not use your cutlery for any other purpose than cutting (i.e. screwdriver, can opener, etc). Improper use can damage the cutlery and void the warranty.
Caution. This is not a toy. Keep culinary tools out of the reach of children at all times.
Use the correct size and type of culinary knife for the specific task.
Always use extreme caution when handling your DFACKTO knives, keeping in mind these precautions: Never try to catch a falling knife, never reach for a knife blindly, and always cut away from your body.

The DFACKTO, Inc. warranty gives you certain legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary in different states and municipalities. LIFETIME LIMITED WARRANTY
DFACKTO knives and culinary tools are produced from the highest quality materials by expert craftsmen and with reasonable care will serve you faithfully for a lifetime. Your DFACKTO culinary knives are warranted to be free of manufacturer defects. This warranty excludes damage caused by accident, misuse or abuse, and does not apply to sharpness, scratches, stains, discoloration or other damage which does not impair the functionality of the product.
